That’s not what I meant

This week’s writing challenge from the folks at Trifecta intrigued me. Exactly 33 words to tell a story, followed by “That’s not what I meant.” Not easy! Give it a try . . .

She stood at the plane door, parachute on.

Midlife crisis be damned; this was an awful idea.

She decided she was ready to concede defeat. “I’m ready . . .”

He pushed.

“That’s not what I meaaannnnt . . .”

      Ah, Anne–you get 33 words before “That’s not what I meant!”. So you can add 5 more:). Impressive, though!
